Who we are
We write for groups who travel to eat well, walk far, and stay out later than the plan said. Ten sharp recommendations beat a hundred safe ones — that is the whole editorial policy.
Every group trip has one: the friend with the spreadsheet. The one who reads forty reviews, builds the itinerary, fronts the deposits, and spends the trip checking a phone instead of the city. We started Obe because we kept being that friend — and these guides exist so nobody has to be.
So we write the version we wanted: where to actually book, what it actually costs, and which table is worth planning the day around. Not the hundred best things in a city — the ten we would defend at dinner. Because the itinerary is not the point. The point is the dinner that becomes the night.
We send you to 10 places, not 100.
Every recommendation has a price, an address, and a sharp line on why.
Mixed budgets, real plans, and how to split the bill after.
The app behind the guides
Six people, one dinner, four cards on the table, three people quietly trying to remember who paid for the cab here. This is the moment trips break.
One person grabs the check. They log it in Obe in about ten seconds — who was there, what it cost. Everyone's running tab updates instantly. When you get home, you settle up once.
